Leading paper & packaging producers Sappi Europe have recently announced price increases to their woodfree paper grades. The price increases come as the company continues to face rising costs in its Graphic Paper business. This price increase has mainly been down to the rising energy prices and surges in the price of certain raw materials due to availability issues. Sappi plans to introduce a 10% increase to their woodfree paper grades, which is in addition to previously announced increases. This increase will be effective for deliveries from early April to the latest beginning of May, depending on the condition of the persistently volatile market.
