Once again we welcomed some of Scotland’s most accomplished entrepreneurs to West College Scotland’s Greenock campus to inspiring entrepreneurs to talk to local young people about how to grow their business ideas.
This month, Andrew Malcolm from the Malcolm Group, Gordon Smith ex-football player, coach and executive, and Linda Scott, Senior Vice President at Toshiba, Greenock, joined us.
The entrepreneurs spoke about their successful businesses and how they turned their ideas into successful businesses in Scotland.
Overwhelmingly, the message our speakers wanted to get across was about to inspiring entrepreneurs for the importance of the hard work, grit and determination that is needed to start a business from scratch.
They also focused on the importance of having a good support system and being aware of what help is out there for budding entrepreneurs in the early stages of a business start-up.
The audience was made up of local young people from schools across the Inverclyde area who asked many good questions about the journey of the speakers, the highs and lows of operating your own business, and their plans for the future.
The event is run in conjunction with Inverclyde Council, West College Scotland and PG Paper Company Ltd.
