Our Business Development Team was delighted to make the long-awaited return to the internationally renowned paper and pulp exhibition Paperex 2022 earlier this month. With industry expos and events put on hold for almost two years due to the Covid-19 pandemic, it was refreshing to catch up with partners old and new at the 15th instalment of this year’s Paperex expo. The event brought together over 600 paper industry leaders from all across the globe, providing comprehensive coverage of all products, machinery, and the latest industry technology.
The members of the PG team who made the journey to India for the conference were enthused with the overall participation and delivery of the event, praising event organisers Hyve for making our return a memorable one. Our team had worked hard in preparation for this year’s Paperex expo. Therefore, the positive feedback from our Business Development Team was greatly received, proving that attending industry trade shows is greatly beneficial to overall business growth and success.

International Business Development Manager
“It was great to be back at Paperex and experience the pleasure of interacting with suppliers and customers face to face after the impact Covid had on our industry. Having the opportunity to speak with so many global industry leaders all in one place proves how valuable events like this are.”
“Paperex 2022 was an enjoyable one for me, as it was the first expo I had attended since joining PG towards the end of last year. Ditching the digital business calls and catching up with clients and partners in person was a relief, and I look forward to attending many more shows in the coming months.”

Indian Paper Market on Rise
Despite the heatwave across Northern India, the Paperex 2022 exhibition experienced tremendous participation from the wider paper industry. The success of this year’s event was not only down to the eagerness of organisations seeking to once again network in person but also highlights the industry demand.
Research indicates that India’s share of demand for paper and pulp products across the globe has experienced a surge, with increasing domestic demand steadily growing. Many paper mills within the Indian market are putting a focus on increasing their pulping capacity, with plans to implement new innovative and sustainable technology into their paper-making machines. India is currently the fastest-growing global paper market, with domestic paper consumption expected to increase by 23.5 million tonnes per annum* (TPA) by 2024-25. As the Indian paper market grows, it is clear to see why this year’s Paperex conference was a huge success.
PG Papers Relationship with India
Over many years, PG Paper has focused on building long-standing industry relationships between the UK and India. As relationships have continued to develop, PG Paper is uniquely positioned across the UK and India, providing opportunities for new business partnerships. We are looking forward to a Free Trade Agreement in 2022, which will help increase opportunities between both parties.
Thank You !
We would like to say a big thank you to everyone who came to visit us at our stand at Paperex. Our Business Development Team made great progress at this year’s Paperex conference, and we look forward to many more expos to come.
