As our 18th birthday approaches this Thursday 30th September, we’re catching up with our team across the globe to share some of their highlights, milestones and memories at PG Paper.
Today we’re speaking to Gemma, our Commercial Manager, Govinda, our Head of Research, Holly, our Marketing Executive and Sonia, our Senior PHP Developer.
What has been your most satisfying moment in PG Paper?
“Helping to launch the US Office – it was a long process, but through hard work, teamwork and collaboration, we finally did it and it has been such an integral part of PG ever since. It’s always been a huge achievement of mine.” – Gemma
Outside work, how do you relax?
“That’s hard when you have a small child to take care of! But I love to exercise when I can – in particular, I love swimming and hot yoga – that’s definitely how I switch off!” – Gemma

What motivates you?
“We are always learning and are made to feel that our work makes a valuable contribution to PG Paper. As part of the Data and Research department the opportunities to learn about both PG Paper and the wider industry are endless. We work closely with marketing and sales and are constantly expanding our knowledge of existing and emerging markets.” – Govinda

What has been your biggest challenge?
“Coming to PG Paper from university as an intern and moving in to my role as marketing executive has been my biggest challenge. Adjusting to the fast-paced world of business and taking on new responsibilities was an exciting but challenging time. Three years on I’m still learning every day from those around me and as PG Paper expands, I know there will be lots of new, different, exciting challenges ahead. When I first started at PG Paper one of our managers told me “progress, not perfection” which is something I remind myself of as I take on new challenges and learn from them each time.” – Holly
Is there any such thing as a typical day?
“Every day there is something different which you add to your to-do-list. Whether that be a new opportunity, long term project or daily task, no two days are ever the same. It’s exciting, and when you’re working with a great team a great opportunity to learn.” – Holly

What does success look like to you?
“As a relatively new member of the PG team, for me success is my continual improvement as I meet each new challenge head on. I’m also growing in confidence as I achieve each goal.” – Sonia

We’re looking forward to sharing more from our team in the days ahead as well as a reflection from our CEOs Poonam & Puneet Gupta.
