Corrugated Board
Corrugated board (often referred to as corrugated cardboard) is a packaging solution well known for its strength and durability. Corrugated board consists of three layers, each serving an important purpose to the overall structure. At the core of the board is a fluting corrugated sheet, a rippled paper sheet that enhances the overall strength of the cardboard. The fluted corrugated sheet also improves the materials ability to absorb impacts, making it an excellent option for protective packaging.
On either side of the corrugated core are two sheets of paper known as liner. The liner sheets are crucial to the board, as they help protect the overall structural integrity of the packaging. Not only does liner help protect the corrugated core, it also possesses excellent printability due to its smooth surface. Testliner is one of the most popular liner solutions used in the manufacturing of corrugated boxes. Testliner is produced using 100% recycled fibres and is often used for the production of food packaging and packaging for consumer durables.

Both the liner and corrugated sheet are made from a special kind of heavy paper called containerboard (CCM or corrugated case material). This material is used due to its ability to withstand rigorous packaging demands.

The Strengths of Corrugated Board
Corrugated cardboard is a popular packaging solution due to its impressive combination of strength and lightness, used across a variety of industries. This high quality solution is incredibly versatile, available in various thicknesses to suit specific requirements.
From transporting fresh food to electronic equipment, corrugated board is designed to withstand various strengths and sizes. By adapting the design of the box, combining layers of corrugated sheeting or adding interior packaging, a corrugated box can be altered to efficiently ship and store almost any type of product.
These types of boxes can be used to ship everything from vegetables to electronics. By adapting the design of a box, combining layers of corrugated or adding interior packaging, a corrugated box can be made to efficiently ship and store almost any type of product.
A Recyclable Packaging Choice
On top of the many benefits this packaging solution has to offer, its sustainable credentials are why it is such a widely used packaging solution across the globe. Corrugated packaging can be easily customised to suit specific sizing requirements, minimising the use of excess materials.
Corrugated board is a highly recyclable packaging solution, as it can be recycled up to a total of 25 times. This product can be recycled several times due to being made from 100% recycled materials. The paper fibres throughout the recycling process retain their durability and strength, meaning the corrugated box preserves its quality despite being recycled several times.
