Free Time in Lockdown

With many of us around the world being in lockdown or a form of restricted movement due to Covid 19,  millions of people are spending more time at home than ever before. Many of us are passing the time during lockdown by learning a new skill or hobby or developing an existing one – some are jumping on the TikTok bandwagon and learning new dances, or knitting, gardening, learning a language –  or even running marathons on balconies!

One of the most popular hobbies during lockdown has been baking and cooking.  Facebook and Instagram feeds are filled with photographs and recipes of all types of home baking from ‘cookies to bread‘ with ‘banana bread‘ being a particular favorite at the minute.

The PG team has not been exempt from the baking and cooking trend – ‘Deborah‘ in our procurement team has been baking up some ‘blueberry muffins’ and ‘lemon cake’ and ‘Leandro’ in our logistics team had a very successful first loaf of ‘banana bread’. ‘Vito‘ in our sales team has shown his Italian heritage by making pizza and sausage bread rolls and ‘Sarah‘ in our finance team made some old school sponge (a particular favourite of the UK!)  and brownies.  For me, I’ve turned my hand to making a ‘giant Jaffa Cake‘ and millionaire’s ‘shortbread’!  Can you tell that we have a sweet tooth in the PG Team?
