We asked John some questions to find out a bit more about him.
What’s your favourite thing about working at PG?
I thoroughly enjoy working at PG Paper and being part of a dynamic, fast-paced, culturally diverse organisation. My favourite thing is that PG Paper is an exciting company with a hugely talented and friendly team with big ambitions that I am proud to be a part of.
What’s the most challenging aspect of your role as Commercial Manager?
The nature of our industry is very fast paced which means I am always on my toes and on the lookout for solutions or opportunities that will help create/grow our clients’ markets and in turn our business.
Are you a sports fan? If so, who’s your favourite team?
I am a lifelong Celtic FC fan and I follow the Scottish Premiership closely. I also follow the English Premier League as a neutral fan, but I do have a soft spot for Liverpool FC. My favourite event is the Champions League as it highlights the brightest and best football talent in Europe.
Favourite TV Series?
Game of Thrones is my favourite TV series. I’ve been a fan of fantasy novels for as long as I can remember with The Lord of The Rings being my favourites. What I love about Game of Thrones is that it felt very grounded in reality, with lots of twists and turns – decisions had consequences and the hero didn’t always conquer all.
What’s is your main goal for 2023?
At the start of the year my main goal was to pass my UK driving test which I achieved in March, so I’m really pleased about that. I want to learn a second language and I am aiming to enrol on a Mandarin course after the summer. If anyone has any recommendations of an online teacher or school please get in touch.
