After surviving – and winning – the tuk-tuk race in 2015, Poonam and Puneet Gupta have signed up for a second challenge in October for the Elephant Family Charity.
They will be part of a fleet of fifty teams racing three-wheeler Chagdas and Royal Enfields more than 800km across India through the blazing hot deserts and crowded streets of Rajasthan.
The event is in aid of the Indian elephant aimed at helping with Elephant Family Charity to secure their natural habitat while making a positive impact on the lives of 500,000 families across India.
Poonam and Puneet’s personal goal is to raise an additional £12,000 to The Elephant Family who work endlessly on creating elephant corridors. These reconnect forest fragments back together to enable elephants and other animals to move safely from one patch to the next without coming into conflict with human beings.
Every donation directly supports the corridor projects across India and any pledge you make, however big or small really makes a difference and will be greatly appreciated.
Pledges can be made here on their fundraising page.
