At this time of year, businesses and people often take time to reflect on the year past and look forward to the new year ahead. This is particularly true of 2020, a difficult and challenging time for so many of us.
Our industry has certainly seen some changes this year, as companies scrambled to pivot online. Whereas this negatively impacted many industries, demand has soared for tissue and packaging. Increasing focus on environmental concerns has seen a significant shift to paper packaging and we continue to play a pivotal role in creating a greener future.
As we manage the many changes in our industry right now, it is reassuring to note that the paper, board and tissue industry is estimated to increase from $349b in 2019 to $368b in 2027.
PG Paper’s entrepreneurial, resilient and supportive culture, helped us navigate the challenges that 2020 has thrown at us. The team has worked hard at maintaining and growing relationships with our customers and suppliers, leaving us in a very strong position as we move into 2021. Recently named Scottish International Business of the Year by the FSB, we look forward to opening new offices in the Middle East and announcing a new senior appointment in the New Year.
Giving back in 2020
Our company values are crucial in our day to day working, and giving to charity is an important part of PG Paper. Our involvement in local and international charities is very important to us. Read more about the local charities we are supporting this Christmas on behalf of our staff here.
