The last couple of months have been a whirlwind at PG HQ since Poonam Gupta received the news about her OBE.
The year began with finding out that Poonam Gupta OBE had been recognised for her achievements and services to business and charity on the New Year’s honour list.
Since then it has been a busy seven weeks filled with media coverage, letters from key political figures and a trip overseas to celebrate her achievement.
As Poonam said she is “truly humbled and delighted to receive this honour. Helping charities is very close to my heart and a big part of my life. I do my best wherever I can”.
With interviews with The Herald newspaper, AwazFM radio station and all the coverage in local news from the Greenock Telegraph, Inverclyde Now and Riverside Inverclyde, Poonam has been in the spotlight consistently over the past two months and we’re sure there’s even more to come.
Poonam also received letters from Nicola Sturgeon, First Minister of Scotland and David Wilson from Inverclyde Council congratulating her on her achievements in business and charity and emphasises the importance of role models like Poonam for women in the business world.
As Poonam continues celebrations in her home country of India with extended family and friends, she is currently being followed by a film crew recording her journey, business meetings and charity work.
We are delighted Poonam has received the recognition she deserves.
