Sack Kraft – Product Info
Sack kraft is usually available in a range of weights, within 70-100gsm. It can be either bleached (white) or natural colour (brown), and can be produced from pure or recycled pulp. Sack kraft paper comes in three variations – standard, semi-extensible or fully extensible, and is available with wet strength properties if required.
Sack Kraft for Packaging – Food
Standard sack kraft is the basic product, and is suitable for most packaging requirements. PG Paper currently source sack kraft for a range of clients who use it produce packaging for foodstuffs, such as sugar, flour and animal feed. It is generally a requirement to have a food safety certificate when the sack kraft is used for these products, to confirm the paper can have contact with foodstuff.
Sack Kraft for Packaging – Building
Semi-extensible sack kraft paper is the ideal product where high pressure and high-speed filling is a requirement. This grade provides high strength and high stretch packaging and is used in a wide variety of applications, for example for packaging of building materials like cement, and chemicals and minerals.
Fully extensible sack kraft is like semi-extensible, but with higher strength, tensile energy absorption (TEA), and better stretch. It is mainly used for specific building materials and gypsum sacks that will be packed with materials of significant weight.
